Research team from Division of Environment and Sustainability at HKUST, has developed a series of environmentally-friendly disinfection technologies (e.g., high-performance air filter, long-term coating, spray, hydrogel, asynchronous intermittent lighting device, pulsed electric field device), and cooperated with industrial partners to contribute to the fight against COVID-19: (a) providing thousands of high-performance air filters as core components of air purifiers donated to Wuhan Huoshenshan Hospital, Wuhan Tongji Hospital, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, the Third People's Hospital of Shenzhen, and more than 40 high schools and primary schools at Shenzhen; (b) applying long-term coating for more than 300 schools and kindergartens, 70 elderly care facilities, 50 clinics, and thousands of low-income families as well as government institutions.
